Nursery Management in Pedagogical Process

The master's thesis deals with the management of nurseries and related requirements, focusing on the management and the quality of the pedagogical process with respect to managerial and administrative duties of head teachers. The goal of the study is to analyse the motivation for running for nursery head teacher, adaptation process and head teacher duties, including the impact of managerial and administrative responsibilities on the pedagogical process quality in nurseries. Special attention is paid to the comparison of head teachers of different types of nurseries. The empirical part of the master's thesis answers the following questions: What was the motivation of head teachers for applying for the job? How many hours a day do head teachers engage in pedagogical and managerial activities? Do head teachers believe that their managerial and administrative duties have a negative impact on the quality of the pedagogical process? What are the differences between head teachers' jobs at different types of nurseries? The thesis uses both qualitative and quantitative research. A survey was conducted among a larger number of respondents, providing a basis for a questionnaire for head teachers of eight selected nurseries.
